This durable blade serves as a perfect solution for snow removal and other materials.
It is very easy to mount on the tractor which facilitates all year-round usage through the different seasons. To use it, the operator simply pushes a lever from the seat and the blade lowers to the ground. When the task is complete, pulling back the lever will raise it.
The working angle can be changed with a lever from the tractor. This will be especially appreciated in tighter areas when frequently changing direction between left and right.
The blade is wider than the tractor to ensure the tractor has good traction on the cleared path and does not compact snow. Even with an angled blade, the operator can clean up to the edge of walls and other obstacles for best results.
Demonstration of the unique safety joint: the tractor is slowed down after the impact yet can move enough to reduce the shock on the operator. The blade moves away from the obstacle by moving up.
Function of a traditional blade (upper line) and the unique safety joint (lower line).
Many front blades available in the market tilt around a pivoting point close to the ground (see 1.1). When potentially contacting an obstacle (see 1.2), the pivoting blade can barely move at all, increasing impact on the blade, tractor, and operator even more (1.3).
The unique joint solution of this blade is smarter by pivoting around a higher spot (2.1). It avoids a harsh impact as the colliding blade edge moves clearly to the rear (2.2), allowing the tractor to slow down more smoothly. Also, the blade will move up if too much snow is present – and even continues to clear off the snow. Once the hard object is overcome, the spring pushes the blade back to the original position. This all results in more comfort of the operator, better uptime of the blade and tractor together with cost effective snow removal without backing up and rehitting the obstacle attempting to clear snow on it.
To attach the blade to the tractor, simply raise it from ground; hook it into the quick-hitch and lock it. Although it can stay on, taking the mower deck off and using rear wheel weights on the tractor is recommended. For snow applications, snow chains are suggested. Both the weights and the chains are available through John Deere Parts.
A John Deere dealer can identify which models are compatible with this broom and order the required mounting hardware.
The following chart shows the available options for John Deere Riding Lawn Equipment and suggests which solution might be the best in each case. The entire description above applies to the blade with 125-cm (49-in.) quick-hitch. If the tractor is equipped with driveline and corresponding quick-hitch, a tractor with this quick-hitch can carry either the blade or the 120-cm (47-in.) broom.

This broom serves as perfect solution for snow and dirt removal. It is very easy to mount and comes with a debris catcher box and multipurpose brush.
To engage, the operator simply pushes a lever from the seat and the broom lowers to the ground while starting to spin. When the job is complete, pulling back the lever will stop the broom and raise it from ground.
From the tractor, the working angle can be changed just by pulling or pushing the (left) lever. This is particularly beneficial in tighter areas when the frequency of changing between working to left and right is higher.
Every broom is shipped with a debris catcher for when collection is required. An upper and a lower rubber lip minimize dust accumulation. To empty, tilt in from its mounted position or take it off and push on its wheels to empty the debris elsewhere.
To achieve optimal performance, the ground pressure can be increased by simply turning a knob on top of the broom. Lowering ground pressure will reduce friction and increase lifetime of the broom.
The wide broom and the central drive system clean to the very edge of walls and other obstacles. Cleaning uneven surfaces is easy and efficient: The brush itself is mounted with an oscillating bearing to compensate undulations.
The air-filled caster wheel supports the broom and also allows easy moving and storing of the broom when not in use. The rubber boot over the wheel’s king pin protects it from thrown up dirt.
To attach the broom to the tractor, simply raise it from ground, hook it into the quick-hitch and lock by pushing the handle down. Using rear wheel weights on the tractor is recommended. For snow applications, snow chains are suggested. In some conditions it may be recommended to take off the mower deck to keep enough clearance between tire chains and deck. Both the weights and the chains are available through John Deere Parts.

The entire description above applies to the broom with quick-hitch 120 cm (47 in.). The 125-cm (49-in.) blade can be mounted on the same hitch as the broom and might be an excellent response to stronger snowfall.

The front blade is excellent for pushing light snow or other loose material.
The blade is constructed for good performance and long life:
For operator convenience, the blade comes with standard equipment for controlling it from the tractor's seat:
The 117-cm (46-in.) blade can be operated up to 16.5 cm (6.5 in.) above ground level.
Floating action is designed into the lift linkage, so the blade is free to follow the contour of the ground.
The lift-linkage design makes raising the blade easy.
For operator convenience, the blade comes with angling and lift components as standard equipment so it can be controlled from the tractor seat.
Front blade lift and angling components are included as standard equipment:

Every John Deere customer who owns a riding lawn and garden product is a potential customer for a high-quality, affordable utility cart. Utility carts can be used to haul a variety of materials including firewood, lawn debris, sand, dirt, mulch, garden tools, plants, and bushes.
Utility carts are designed, painted, and decaled to be compatible with other John Deere equipment.
For proper braking and operation, the loaded weight of the cart should never exceed the weight of the tractor, or other towing unit, plus the operator. The loaded weight of any equipment towed by an EZtrak™ or ZTrak™ mower not to exceed 250 lb (113 kg). See the appropriate vehicle pages for the weight of the vehicle and the mower deck.
Wheels are mounted on a solid, one-piece axle for durability.
Iron and Oilite® wheel bearings with grease fittings provide lubrication for long life.
The pneumatic tires offer the following:
A sloped tailgate design makes emptying the box easier; there is no tailgate to loosen or remove.
A large-diameter hitch pin provides plenty of strength:
An easy-to-use spring-loaded dump latch allows tilting the box for easier unloading. Steep dump angle makes emptying the cart easier.
